As far as I can surmise, the creators behind the message of Wall-E were the creative people at Pixar and its director, Andrew Stanton. Wall-E employs the use subtle comedy, i.e. when Wall-E sprays himself with the fire extinguisher. The creators were very clever in their usage of suspenseful situations. I perceived the underlying message as a need for human awareness towards a planet in peril. I, being a believer in the devastating effects of global deterioration due to humans, am ready to accept the implications that Wall-E presents as being quite plausible in the distant future; that’s not to say that I’ll go as far as imagining a utopia in space, but I do think that the degeneration of this planet due to humans is a process that is speeding up, not slowing down. Of course their exist individuals who think that Wall-E is merely a cute movie with a cute concept, but I still believe that indifference towards a movie, Wall-E or another, stems from a lack of understanding of the key points it presents. It seems to me that the creators took a liberal point of view in creating Wall-E, and as a result catered to their own agenda throughout the film. Wall-E’s message is being sent with the hope of enlightening the general populace to the effects of global mismanagement. God cares about us and the world we live in, but he is not going to interfere concerning how we run the world.
