Wall-E

Wall-E was produced by Pixar Animation Studios and produced by Andrew Stanton. Wall-E is a animated cartoon movie generally based for the entertainment of children. It has great affects and animation that will attract any viewer that watches it. When you think of the movie Wall-E you automatically think that the audience it's directed to is for children or young adults. When i watched this I saw a little deeper into just a child's movie.
When watching Wall-E it seemed to me a greater message was being told then just a robot trying to clean up a waste-covered Earth. It showed that if we as Americans keep living the way we do, we will most likely end up in the same situation as the people in the movie are in. They are so obese that they don't even walk they just sit on chairs and are being waited on hand and foot. They destroyed their planet and don't even seem to care. We are slowly following in that path and i think the producer is trying to show us what will happen in a funny animated way. The movie works on two different levels, as pure entertainment for young children, and on an intellectual level for critical analysis.
It was a very thought provoking movie with lots of fun details for us (the viewer) to enjoy. It was obviously made for entertainment but like I said previously also trying to tell us to take care of the Earth were living on so it doesn't become the way it did in Wall-E.
The spirituality portrayed in Wall-E i believe is obvious to any christian watching the film. When Jesus created us he quotes in Genesis that he did not create man to be alone, but gave him a "help mate." When Wall-E was alone on the Earth he was lonely and just wanted a friend. When Eve came along he instantly became happier and enjoyed her company. I also saw that Wall-E didn't give up looking for her when she was lost, Like in the New Testament parable of the lost sheep, Jesus never gives up looking for his children even when they are physically or spiritually lost.
