The movie Wall-E is a Disney Pixar film, and was released on June 27, 2008, in fact, i actually remember taking my nephew, and little brother to see it the weekend of its first showing, and in my opinion, it was one of the cutest, and most pleasant movies that i had ever seen. The way Andrew Stanton and Pete Docter, the writer and director captured the goodness that i believe exist in all of us was phenomenal. By proving with the main character in a scene in which Wall-E basically sacrifices his life for those who want to reside on earth was definitely appealing and representational in countless ways. This adventurous, entertaining movie was doubtlessly humorous and comedic; while at the same time snatched a meaningful storyline. The vivid bright colors expressed throughout the movie, kept me interested and captivated, so much so that i did not even mind the muteness portrayed by Wall-E and Eve . To most viewers this movie would seem to have just been created for the eyes of children, but to me it is welcoming and inviting to those of all ages. Wall-E is in the category of genres that people could take their whole families to see, from grandparents to small children. I mean obviously small children are going to get a different understanding of the movie as opposed to adults, for example adults might automatically understand all the values and meanings represented, while children are just thinking about the concrete ideas. All in all we could all learn from the universal theme shown. In my own words, this movie exhibits many aspects of points and views. What i got out of the movie was somewhat of a wake up call. I think that the writers were trying to explain to us that if we do not make a change in regards to the way we live, that eventually we will be miserable like the people in the movie who were so fat, and in a way extremely miserable because they could not even walk. The purpose of this movie was certainly to entertain, but also to inform the audience on how, as a society we need to keep our environments clean so that they are acceptable to live in. At first when asked about what this film had to do with God, i could not figure it out. However, once i began thinking critically i realized that in the movie, the earth represented God and the people were sinners like us, who sometimes stray away thinking something better is out there, but eventually come back to realize that nothing is better than God and that we need him, just like the people in the movie needed to live on earth. Another key note in the movie in reference to spirituality is that sometimes as humans we get so wrapped up into our own worlds that we forget about God, and the important things in life.
