Facing The Giants
Directed by Alex and Stephen Kendrick, the amazing family drama, Facing The Giants is a film that follows the issues and struggles of high school football coach Grant Taylor. Coach Taylor wrestles with his teams consistent streak of losing, which he believes will ultimately lead to him losing his job. While things in Taylor's life seem to be falling apart, he still manages to put all of his troubles and worries in the hands of the lord. With a strong faith based storyline, this film will most likely relate to Christians. In the film, not only did Taylor incorporate his beliefs into his family life, but in his place of work as well. Furthermore, since this film contains no profanity, intense violence, or sexual references, I think people of all age groups will notice the positive impact this movie spreads on to others. It contains lessons that we can all learn from trusting in God. In addition, this film teaches us that we should never feel like we are in this world alone. God is continuously with us; and will never leave us. No matter how big the "giant," or issue in our lives, God will always come through; making a way when we think there is no way.
