Facing the Giants was directed by Alex Kendrick and Co-written by Stephen Kendrick. This movie is a drama that has action is the form of football that makes it both entertaining to watch, but also emotional and didactic. Some people might view this movie as just another cliché- one of many overused football movies. And others still might me turned away by the reality that this is a Christian movie made to target a specific audience. Conversely, however, their does exist a large percentage of individuals that are able to look beyond the limited cinematic effects and relish the essence of the movie- the actual storyline and message it is attempting to convey. This movie portrays a lifestyle built on faith in God. It emphasizes the notion that individuals should not give up, no matter the obstacles. Even in the face of adversity, for example, the coach showed his team that they were capable of more than they ever imagined when he forced his doubtful star player across the entire football field whilst that same player carried a person. This movie come from the point of view that since God never gives up on us, neither should we give up on ourselves. Facing the Giants is being sent to inspire those who have a series of doubts. God give us the power to persevere and thrive- we just have to be willing to trust him and let him guide our lives.
